Opportunity
As an Entry-Level IT Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our organization's information technology systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about technology, problem-solving, and customer service to launch their careers in the IT field. 
Responsibilities:
Help Desk Support: 
  1. Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly and professionally. 
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems, offering timely solutions and guidance to users. 
  3. Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary. 
Hardware and Software Maintenance: 
  1. Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, peripherals, and software applications. 
  2. Install, upgrade, and update software packages, ensuring proper functionality and compatibility. 
Network Assistance: 
  1. Support basic network troubleshooting, including connectivity issues, router configurations, and wireless connectivity. 
  2. Assist with maintaining network security measures, such as firewall settings and antivirus software. 
User Training and Documentation: 
  1. Provide basic training to users on software applications and technology best practices. 
  2. Create and update documentation, including user guides and knowledge base articles, to facilitate self-help and improve user experience. 
Hardware and Software Inventory: 
  1. Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of hardware and software assets, including tracking warranties and licenses. 
System Monitoring and Maintenance: 
  1. Assist in monitoring systems for performance and security, reporting any anomalies or potential issues to senior IT staff. 
Collaboration and Teamwork: 
  1. Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and tasks, contributing to a supportive and productive work environment. 
Event Specific:
  1. Work with IT venue staff onsite to manage networking needs.
  2. Basic knowledge and understanding of networking
  3. Quickly troubleshoot and resolve IT issues onsite.
  4. Ability to count large amounts of forms with high accuracy for data entry purposes
  5. Ability to problem-solve and adapt to challenges quickly.
  6. Effective communication and coordination skills.
  7. Travel to event locations as needed. (Up to 3 times a month)
  8. Flexible schedule, including weekends
  9. Ability to lift and transport IT equipment.
Work Schedule 
  1. Full-time: 40 hours per week 
  2. Schedule: Typically Monday–Friday.  During event weeks that you work, the work week would be Monday-Wednesday, travel on Thursday, set-up IT Office on Friday, work during the show Saturday, and travel back Sunday.
  3. Travel: Up to 50%
Qualifications:
  1. A diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is preferred but not mandatory. 
  2. Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts. 
  3. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment. 
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitude. 
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 
  6. Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and basic troubleshooting techniques. 
  7. Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
