Opportunity
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Life Surge, your primary responsibility is to acquire talent for our main stage events at the lowest cost possible while ensuring a continuous desire for engagement with Life Surge. You will play a crucial role in maintaining relationships with potential talent and their agents, providing backup options for any gaps in our lineup, and ensuring a seamless experience for both talent and attendees.
Responsibilities
Contracting:
Manage contracts for main stage talent, including drafting, negotiating, and finalizing agreements.
Extend new talent offers and follow up on pending negotiations.
Oversee Wealth Surge, Kingdom Surge, Symposium, and Winning Wednesday talent acquisition processes.
Manage contracts for future brands, such as Motivation Surge, ensuring strategic alignment and smooth contractual execution.
Work with finance to coordinate deposits and Certificates of Insurance (COI), managing communications back and forth.
Handle and manage riders for artists.
Place and manage official offers for new talent prior to contracting.
Production & Programming Coordination:
Collaborate with production to ensure talent scheduling aligns with contractual obligations and programming needs.
Assist in programming by coordinating with production on timing to meet contractual requirements.
Marketing Coordination:
Secure permission to launch marketing campaigns for talent.
Coordinate photo ops and ensure media kits are provided for promotional purposes.
Organize surveys to assess talent impact and audience engagement.
Market Research & Analysis:
Conduct research and analysis to determine the best markets per speaker, ensuring alignment with audience demographics and event goals.
Compare and evaluate potential speakers based on their market reach, engagement, and relevance to Life Surge audiences.
Gifts & Special Occasions:
Research, purchase, and coordinate gifts for talent, including for birthdays and special occasions.
Maintain records of talent birthdays and anniversaries to foster positive relationships.
Responsible for obtaining talent contact information and sending thank you cards after a talent's first appearance on stage.
Talent Communication & Coordination:
Confirm timing and scheduling with talent for events.
Proactively push on offers and contracts to secure commitments.
Manage and update the talent contact information spreadsheet to ensure accurate records.
Oversee and update the talent lineup sheet, tracking fees and additional expenses associated with each event.
Administrative Support:
Take meeting notes and provide actionable steps to ensure clear follow-ups and execution.
Additional Responsibilities:
Research and plan talent dinners for events, ensuring a quality experience.
Handle flight bookings for Donnie and other key figures.
Process Concur reimbursements for talent for travel and event expenses.
Confirm talent participation for receptions and special engagements.
Qualifications
Experience in talent acquisition, contract management, or event coordination.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Concur, Asana, and other event management tools.
Ability to travel as needed for events.
