Opportunity
We are looking for a highly creative and technically skilled Production Design Manager to enhance the visual experience of our live events. This person will lead the design and execution of all visual elements—ranging from stage design and signage to video content and environmental graphics. The ideal candidate will bring together vision, strategy, and technical know-how to deliver stunning and immersive experiences that align with our brand and mission. This role requires both creative leadership and hands-on collaboration, with occasional travel to oversee event execution.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the creative vision and execution of all live event visual elements: scenic design, stage graphics, on-screen content, signage, and printed collateral

• Translate event themes and goals into compelling design concepts that drive engagement

• Manage timelines, approvals, and quality control with internal teams and external vendors

• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, creative, and marketing departments

• Provide creative feedback and direction from concept through final execution

• Maintain brand standards and elevate visual consistency across all touchpoints

• Be present onsite at select events to oversee visual production, stage load-in, and testing

• Maintain and organize an asset library for ongoing and future use

• Be available for support during Friday/Saturday event weekends

Qualifications:

• Ability and willingness to travel for events and work some nontraditional hours

• 5+ years of experience in production, experiential, or live event design

• Portfolio that demonstrates strong stage, screen, and environmental visuals

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with Vectorworks, SketchUp, or similar tools a plus

• Deep understanding of live production workflows, media formats, and display technologies

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines under pressure

• Strong communication and leadership skills with experience directing external creative partners

• Highly collaborative with the ability to balance big-picture vision and technical execution

• Preferred: background in faith-based or mission-driven events and multimedia content creation
