Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Compliance Brand Specialist to join our team. The Brand Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all branding, marketing, and communication efforts align with regulatory compliance standards while maintaining a strong and consistent brand presence. This role involves reviewing and approving marketing materials, ensuring customer data protection, and collaborating with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risk. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams to maintain high standards in product development, customer data protection, and company compliance initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Ensure all marketing materials, advertisements, and product claims comply with SEC and FTC regulations, avoiding false or misleading statements.
Review and approve all brand-related collateral (brochures, social media, emails, website content) to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure all messaging aligns with industry and company standards.
Oversee marketing campaigns to ensure compliance with FTC privacy laws regarding customer data collection and use.
Implement best practices for securing Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in marketing and branding efforts.
Ensure all branding initiatives follow proper customer consent and disclosure requirements.
Review all scripts, marketing materials, and internal/external collateral for accuracy, compliance, and effectiveness.
Conduct periodic reviews of websites, social media, and marketing campaigns for compliance risks.
Review and distribute secret shopper reports to the appropriate teams, providing insights and recommendations.
Foster strong relationships with each department to improve cross-functional collaboration.
Participate in the development of compliance training materials and initiatives.
Work closely with Quality Assurance clerks to analyze call and survey results for compliance and quality improvement.
Attend weekly company and departmental meetings to stay informed and provide updates.
Stay current on SEC and FTC regulations relevant to the company's operations and ensure adherence.
Conduct internal brand compliance audits to ensure all materials meet regulatory and corporate standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of regulatory compliance experience, preferably in the Seminar/Sales industry.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
Experience in branding, marketing compliance, or regulatory affairs.
Thorough knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to consumer sales, both in-person and tele-sales.
Strong understanding of SEC and FTC regulations related to advertising, financial disclosures, and consumer protection.
Ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring brand consistency and regulatory adherence and meeting deadlines effectively.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
Strong collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with legal, compliance, sales and marketing teams.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in using Asana software and other relevant tools.
