Opportunity 

We are seeking a skilled and results-driven individual to join our team as a Collections Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for actively contacting customers and ensuring the timely collection of outstanding payments. As a key contributor to our revenue collection efforts, you will work in the Collections Department to achieve departmental goals and maintain positive customer relationships. 

Essential Duties  

• Proactively contact customers to collect outstanding payments in a timely manner. 

• Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, empathy, and customer service while effectively addressing customer inquiries and concerns. 

• Resolve payment disputes and negotiate payment arrangements in accordance with company policies and procedures. 

• Update customer account information and payment statuses accurately. 

• Utilize a variety of communication channels, including phone calls and emails, to facilitate successful collections efforts. 

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all collection's activities, ensuring proper documentation for reference and reporting purposes. 

• Collaborate with the Collections Department to develop and implement effective collections strategies. 

• Meet or exceed assigned collection targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). 

Qualifications 

• Previous experience in collections or a similar role, with a proven track record of meeting collection targets 

• Strong communication and negotiation skills 

• Ability to handle challenging customer interactions with tact and professionalism 

• Proficiency in using computer programs and software for collections management 

• Excellent organizational and time management skills 

• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in recording collections activities 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 

• Familiarity with collections regulations and best practices is a plus
