Opportunity 

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Personal Finance Manager to support the CEO by overseeing the financial and administrative aspects of their personal and professional life. Reporting to the CEO Office Director, this role is integral in ensuring that the CEO's financial and operational matters align seamlessly with their broader mission and vision. Life Surge is dedicated to creating impactful Christian events, while SurgeU focuses on empowering individuals with financial education rooted in biblical principles. 

The ideal candidate will not only bring expertise in financial management but also demonstrate a commitment to the values and mission of Life Surge and SurgeU. By ensuring the CEO’s personal and professional financial matters are efficiently managed, the Personal Finance Manager will contribute to advancing the organization’s mission and expanding its impact. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the management of the CEO’s personal properties, including maintenance schedules, vendor contracts, and related financial transactions. 

  • Coordinate household staff and ensure operations run smoothly. 

  • Maintain accurate records of the CEO’s personal and professional finances. 

  • Prepare regular financial reports summarizing income, expenses, and investments. 

  • Reconcile accounts and ensure all transactions are accurately documented. 

  • Organize and prepare documentation required for annual tax filings. 

  • Collaborate with internal accountants and advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax submissions. 

  • Provide support during audits, gathering necessary records and information. 

  • Manage and track personal and household budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals. 

  • Approve and oversee purchases, ensuring they are within established guidelines. 

  • Negotiate with vendors and service providers to secure the best value. 

  • Manage and oversee personal benefits, such as insurance policies, retirement accounts, and loyalty programs. 

  • Track and optimize the CEO’s personal and professional reward programs, including frequent flyer miles, credit card points, and other incentives. 

  • Support the CEO in managing personal business ventures outside of Life Surge and SurgeU. 

  • Provide financial oversight and advice for private investments and entrepreneurial initiatives. 

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. 

  • 5+ years of experience in personal financial management, estate management, or a related role. 

  • Expertise in bookkeeping, budgeting, and financial reporting. 

  • Experience with tax preparation, auditing, and compliance requirements. 

  • Ability to act as a trusted financial advisor to the CEO. 

  • Strong expertise in managing and safeguarding assets, including personal investments, real estate, and business ventures. 

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. 

  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. 

  • High level of discretion and commitment to confidentiality. 

  • Proficiency in financial management software and tools, such as QuickBooks, Excel, or similar platforms. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a forward-thinking mindset.
